First multimedia evening, the result of a year of work on the theme of the Universe, created by an international team composed of three composers and two video artists. How can we represent the Universe and its history in today’s context, where reality is perceived in an increasingly fragmented way? The work Cercles refers to the integration of different perspectives on the origin of the Universe.

Over the course of one hour, three sections unfold, articulated into nine tableaux: a form that is multiple yet unified, circular, spiral‑shaped, and evolutionary. The interaction between sound and image is dialogic—at times simultaneous, at times translating sonic elements into images in real time.

Oscillating between scientific observation and cosmology, the performance opens with the creation of light emerging from primordial chaos and the void. The exploration of the vibratory dimension of matter, of climatic and microscopic phenomena, leads to the evocation of the three elements most commonly found in cosmological representations: water, stone, and tree.

Increasingly complex biological forms then take shape, culminating in the emergence of the Human Being. Subsequently, the unfolding of the symbolic dimension introduces humanity into the cultural and spiritual sphere. But the audiovisual journey does not end there: it concludes with a return to the contemplation of the Cosmos—a finale projected into deep space, where various elements from earlier sections reappear.

The future has ancient roots.
