Key Clef (I)

Livia Borzetti, known as Key Clef, is an Italian DJ and producer based in Berlin, driven by a strong passion for analog instruments and founder of the Ipnotica Erotica label. After experiencing the final years of the thriving Roman rave scene and obtaining a degree in sound engineering, her creative process evolved in various directions, ranging from club music to performance art and electroacoustics. In 2013 she released her first digital EP, followed by many others on different labels worldwide. In her world, music is a continuous dialogue between styles and a process of hybridization. Her musical productions, as well as her live performances, incorporate synthesizers, drum machines, and analog effects, reflecting her ethereal path, while her DJ sets reveal the full spectrum of her musical taste and dancefloor knowledge. Key Clef’s sound does not just touch the surface, but instead aims to channel emotions and create a bond between her music and the audience. In recent years she founded a community of artists under the name ACXS, giving life to collaborative projects involving artists and brands. She also became a resident DJ at Berghain, one of Europe’s most important clubs, while developing a new path in a more experimental direction, opening the doors to a sound research beyond her comfort zone. Entering the world of artistic residencies, she quickly earned recognition for her ability to communicate through art. Key Clef’s mission is not to provide a product, but to create a shared experience.
