Perila (RU)

Perila is a sound and visual artist, DJ, performer, and poet, born in Saint Petersburg and based in Berlin, who explores sensitive boundaries and the depths of subtle matter. Her practice focuses on texture, tangibility, and the spatiality of sound recorded from the real world, raw emotions, voice, poetry, body, and transformation.

Music functions as an agent of healing and change; an invitation to open new layers of relationship with reality through deep listening, observation, presence, and a reciprocal dialogue with the audience.

Her performances and DJ sets unfold as dense, intense narratives that move through a rich sonic palette, immersing the listener in a personal and sensual journey, while delicate poetry and a soft, breath‑like voice evoke intimacy, desire, and release. Her aim is to create other sonic worlds in which to lose and find oneself, to challenge and transcend boundaries, and to share this expansion with the Other.

Perila’s works have been released on labels such as Smalltown Supersound, Sferic, The Trilogy Tapes, Shelter Press, Longform Editions, Motion Ward, 3XL, Paralaxe Editions, Vaagner, Boomkat, and Lillerne Tapes. She is the founder of WET, an online community offering sensual podcasts featuring spoken word, poetry, ASMR, field recordings, and explorations of sonic sexuality.
