Sixth appointment of the 2018/19 electronic music season. A very young exponent of new Finnish music, Viktor Toikkanen, will follow on the stage of the San Fedele Auditorium, and the expected performance of the English Edvard Graham Lewis, for the first time in Italy as a soloist.

A true veteran of the European experimental scene, Edvard Graham Lewis is the co-founder of
Wire, a historic British formation capable of leading punk-rock to its worst consequences
extreme and radical, his solo career has contributed in a decisive way to rehabilitate the
expressive potential of the electric bass. It serves as the narrator of soundscapes from the
strong isolationist component (a form of ambient music that uses repetitive and dissonant harmonies and microtonality to create a feeling of discomfort and solitude), mindful of both French musique concrète and the more atmospheric laptop music of the nineties. On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the publication of the first piece by his signature Let’s Panic Later , Lewis will present a new set in Milan in which he will resume these materials, intersecting them with new unreleased songs.

Opening is the Italian debut of the Finnish composer and sound artist Viktor Toikkanen, active in film music and live performance art. His approach to the formation of sound is described by him in analogy with the production of ceramics, in which complex shapes are reached starting from a fabric reduced to a minimum, in a process of constant transformation and structuring of the sound matter. In agreement with San Fedele Musica, he will bring to Milan a new, expanded and reworked version of his work Hyperdelic Green Monster.
