Mor Elian (IL)

Mor Elian was born in Tel Aviv in 1988 and developed her artistic voice between Los Angeles and Berlin, shaping a language that combines rhythmic precision, timbral research, and a fluid conception of acoustic space. Coming from club culture, she soon distanced herself from the more conventional forms of techno to explore more abstract, granular, and broken territories. Her releases on Fever AM (the label she co-founded), Hypercolour, and Prime Numbers show an interest in sound matter as an organism in transformation: rhythms that warp, micro-details that emerge and disappear, and textures that move like living structures. Elian works on a balance between energy and complexity, avoiding both linearity and abstraction for its own sake. Her performances are characterized by a rigorous control of dynamics and a sensitivity toward constructing three-dimensional sonic spaces, where movement is not only rhythmic but also spatial. Her research places her among the most interesting voices in the new international electronic scene, capable of speaking both to club audiences and to contexts more oriented toward focused listening.
