Polygonia (D)

A multidisciplinary musical and artistic project conceived by the young Lindsey Wang (born 1995), an artist based in Munich, Germany. Her approach blends experimental electronic, jazz, ambient, and techno, creating organic and dreamlike soundscapes. Lindsey Wang has a solid musical background, having studied and practiced various acoustic instruments. Her passion for music also extends to other art forms such as graphic design, illustration, and photography. These experiences have inspired her to translate her understanding of rhythm, composition, and experimentation into the digital musical language. The sound of Polygonia is characterized by complex rhythms and enveloping sound textures. Her music ranges from deep techno to downtempo, including ambient and grey area influences, with elements of jazz and acoustic music. Natural motifs and evocative soundscapes play a central role in her productions. Among her projects and collaborations are: Lyder (2021) with Niklas Bühler and Moritz Stahl, combining jazz and electronics; Candid, a project started in 2023 with jazz drummer Simon Popp, a meeting between electronics and jazz.
