Simon Scott is an English sound artist and composer. His albums Soundings (Touch), Insomni (Ash International) and Below Sea Level (12k) explore the creative process of actively listening, the implications of recording the sounds of the natural world using technology and the manipulation of natural sounds used for purpose. compositional (Field Recording). He plays drums in the British band Slowdive, runs his own SPS mastering studio from his Cambridge home and has collaborated with leading artists such as Fennesz, Philip Jeck and Claire M Singer (Spire), Taylor Deupree and Marcus Fischer (Between), The Sight Below (Rafael Anton Irisarri), Mike Weis, Nils Frahm and James Blackshaw.
