Final female concert, featuring emerging Turkish-German producer JakoJako on modular synthesizer and Hungarian guitarist Zsófia Boros. It starts precisely with the soft, sweet sounds, from the veiled and bewitching timbres of the all-acoustic guitar with slight amplified cues. Refined and nostalgic repertoire in tribute to contemporary Argentina (Egberto Gismonti, Mathias Duplessy, Quique Sinesi, Joaquín Alem). High poetry and flawless technique, holistic understanding of sound, as Fanfare magazine reports about him: “clear and beautiful tone, liquid phrasing, precise layering of melody and accompaniment, fluid figuration, remarkable also his emphatic sense of mood and emotion.”
JakoJako, stage name of Sibel Jacqueline Koçer, along with Chiara Trentin, the youngest of the spring review, both 1991. The Turkish-German musician in a few years has established herself on the electronic music scene as a DJ but especially for her creativity in the use of the modular synthesizer. Very particular JakoJako’s dosage of sonic parameters with a well-composed minimalist rhythmic pattern achieves a balanced state of delicate inner assent. The musician’s immersive threshold is introspective at the edges of consciousness. However, there is no shortage of moments of luminosity and melodic expressiveness. Her latest CDs allow us to grasp the great talent of Sibel Koçer in full growth.
