Acousmatic interpretation: Giovanni Cospito and Dante Tanzi

At the beginning, after an electronic Prelude / Nocturne by Giovanni Cospito: Hurbinek… His eyes …, the “Homage to A. Tarkovskij” will be performed for the first time, created by the Phonology Group which includes the finalists of the Phonology Award ( Alessandro Ratoci, Carlo Barbagallo, Remo De Vico, Riccardo Castagnola, Sam Salem, Mattia Bonafini, Alberto Prezzati), an astonishing 35 ‘electronic fresco that takes up some sound themes of the Russian director’s films. Homage can be read as a sonic journey of exploration of Tarkowsky’s cinematographic work reflected in the electroacoustic reinterpretations of the finalists of the Phonology Prize 2013. An ambitious compositional experiment that blends the individual dimension of musical creation with the collective orchestration of macro form, search for points of contact and contrast between the heterogeneous soundscapes, under the light of the thought and suggestions of a great poet of the moving image. The project flourished thanks to montage, exchange, synthesis, antithesis, intersections and interactions between ideas, sounds, images and sensations brought into play by the composers. Hurbinek … His eyes … by Giovanni Cospito Born from a cycle of electronic music compositions created in real time adaptable to various sound projection systems for acousmatic listening: “.Hurbinek.enne”. It is an attempt to find answers to some urgencies of compositional activity: genre, style and homologation: style and work: liquid art; organicity and inorganicity. The genre outlines a territory where styles can be expressed. Styles are the organic forms of the territory. The work is a concretion of the infinite possibilities of style detail. Creative leadership is produced by the emotional collapse in front of Hurbinek’s eyes II – The second part of the NIGHT will allow you to listen to a major work of the acousmatic repertoire, rarely performed: COMMENCEMNTS by Alexandre Yterce. It is an “electronic poem” in four parts of equal duration, it is inspired by the philosophy of the Presocratics and takes up the four elements arranged in a symbolic space: Air (North), Fire (East), Earth (South), Water (West ). a) Commencements Rythmés Aux Causes Des Airs This piece begins with bursts of rhythmic breaths, the very vertebrae of a vibrating matter, a plot of movements in crescendo that want to ignite the black mirror of the heart, where the stars and the underworld palpitate, go to to split the consciousness and the organs of shadow and light. b) Commencements rhytmés aux causes des Feux The piece consists of a nomadic plot, a sensory flow filled with changing reflections in which the property is deported. It starts with a block of intertwined, high pitched sounds. Lightning is often heard as the development of a song in us capable of warding off fear and making us dance against the threat of a rejected stranger. c) Commencements rhytmés aux causes des Terres We do not come from the earth, we never return to the earth. Stars barking in the dizzying skies, collisions that inflame the cosmos, fractures and spasms in the geological fabric, that’s what we will hear about this musically heavy structure. The last vibrations of the piece close in a magnetic plot that brings within itself the stabilization of the stars between them. d) Commencements rhytmés aux causes des Eaux It is the infinite that generates us, pushes us to cross this existence. “The heart that revolves in the waves of the blood full of resonances is what in men is called their thought. Because the thought in men is the blood that circulates around their neck ”(Empedocles).
