Evening with an inverted chiaroscuro path. At the opening of the evening Anna Zaradny, protagonist of the Polish experimental scene: her discographic return Go Go Theurgy (2016, Musica Genera / Bocian Records), eight years after the previous album, is a work of sound sculpture in which the rhythmic element is simulated only by the dynamism of its sound textures. The physicality and intensity created by the intersection of sound levels are inspired by the ritualistic form evoked by the title – a hybrid between dance and performance – and by the themes of rebellion and power, purification and liberation through bodily gestures. Between concrete music and immersive electronics, Zaradny explores the perceptive habits of listeners through a complex sound architecture made of textures, noises, synthetic sounds and concrete materials that feed a baroque but compact and organic dimension.

In the second part, the Canadian Scott Morgan, aka Loscil, one of the leading exponents of the ambient scene of the third millennium. Morgan will present his latest live set focused on the recent album Monument Builders, published by Kranky in 2016: here his aesthetic lends itself to the hatching of apocalyptic soundscapes of minimalist derivation, which shifts its focus from glacial and isolationist scenarios to the uncanny action human in relation to the natural environment; a mosaic of sound images that becomes a denunciation of the disastrous impact of the industry, depicting in free form the construction, the cancellation, the devastation and a veiled hope of transformation of what has been compromised at the hands of man.
